"to tap the inspiration to create one must be in touch with the unknown and let it erupt out of you".
Jeesh I wish I'd said it like that! Ive just quoted you on someone else's blog. The least I can do is feedback on your Prezi. Scott I'd love funky graphics, visuals of empowered youth, perhaps Manga style or something more universal? I think you need to think about it as targeted to the youth? The people who love youth will recognise it and come!

You seem like a smart guy so don't sell yourself short. You know what to do, you could build it and learn how to if you need to.

Figure out if people really want it? Screw them, build it for yourself, the thing is you can't anticipate what people want. No matter the customer meetings the "requirements gathering" or anything. Scratch your own itch. Build a game you would want to play with yourself as the customer. you might be surprised as to how many people think the way you do and want in on it as well.

I'd honestly be interested in hearing more about the game, but I'm a skeptic, it seems a tad boring? A game about political science? If you want to take it offline.

Thanks for your comment!
I recently decided to change the focus of the blog to work on customer development. I'm trying to sell the game to everyone (investors, customers, developers), and I can understand why it might be confusing. I've been a bit confused about what I'm trying to accomplish with the blog. Anyways, I agree with you: I need to build it and then they will come. I've been getting advice from other startup people to pursue all aspects, but I need to focus my message for each audience better. I'm working on the minimal framework design now and have one person to help me build it as soon as that's complete. I don't know how long till proto is done, but it's coming. :-)

Why I want investors: I'm close to broke, on EI and if I get funded I can stop looking for a jerb (highly distracting)
Why I need developer help: I'm an okay developer, but not really a techie leader.
Why I need to do customer development: to figure out if people really want this thing

Cheers!

Scott,

Your on the right track IMO. I would say your approaching the right avenue with this game. As for some feedback. I still don't get it? Are selling the game to me or investors? You need to decide. It seems like this site is dedicated to investors as some sort of pitch. Screw that, in today's times you don't need angel investors to write a Facebook App or a Smartphone App. Make the investors beg from you once the game is taking off. Your best way to gain credibility would be to do it no? Just thinking out loud. Do you have a prototype? Best way to communicate your vision is through a working model, no amount of words or text can replace this.

I'm on board with the idea but I need to see the itch so to speak you know? And of course more cowbell.

"I think you have an intriguing concept but the prezi is, frankly, not interesting" ~ @ericries Thanks! I love feedback, especially when it's frank!
