    2010 - 01.25

I’ve been a little over concentrated on drafting designs, and not publishing enough.  I’ve also had a request for clarity on what my service will be.  I serve free speech, collaboration, and peace.  If you care, believe, or think about anything that would be considered subjective, philosophical, and/or political, you are my customer.  I am designing the framework to store and/or publish your opinions, as well as interact with other users.  The framework will be a social game where users do all the work of creating and managing which opinions rise to the top and which slink away rejected.

Here are a few diagrams of my design.

Here on the right is the geometric shape of two different seven pointed stars and their intersections inside a circle.  This is the shape I will refer to as the QuestionCollector.  The 7 major objects are listed at their home kingdom’s point.

The next picture shows how the kingdoms map to the Chakra colors and other phenomenon, both in-game and out. This thought process is reflected throughout the system via a rating and filter system that marks objects with different colors of light based on user interaction and input.

I’ve recently mapped out some basic page layouts.  The following two pages are prototype layouts of major screens.  On the left is a debate arena, where all the arguments for and against a certain position will be fought and ranked. This is a generic object version with all three formats displayed.  Many debates will just be text, but past a certain threshold audio and video submissions will be encouraged.

Next on the right we see a selected object with related results.  This particular case is a Question surrounded by the 6 Most Popular Answers.  This will probably be the most used screen, because all objects can use it.  For example, it could be a User with their 6 Most Important Questions, or a Debate surrounded with Top-Ranked Users or many other cases.

    Items of note:
    1) Top Tags (top left) ~ Top rated Tags attached to the centered object, showing their rank and dominant color.
    2) The Privacy Pyramid (top right) ~ The users current privacy level when interacting with the centered object. The simplest way to think about it is, black=no interaction, red=anonymous, yellow=private, green=public, and the others are combinations of the three.
    3) The Color Rating circles (bottom right of multiple objects) ~ Displays the current enlightenment rating as determined by the system and users.  Notice they are on the ads too.  This will provide an easy way to get feedback on ads and make placement more targeted to certain users.
    4) In the Question object box the highest rated Standard Follow Up (SFu) question is displayed with your answer and points spent.
    5) In the Answer object box your answer selections are listed along with it’s privacy level.  The level of commitment to your selection determines the multiplier used on your points spent, as well as who can see it.

If anything generates a question or confusion, let me know with a comment and I’ll try to bring more clarity.

    Thanks for reading!
